The Third Body

This is your positive mind. It’s also known as the subconscious mind.

Just as the negative mind assesses what could go wrong, the positive mind assesses the same situation for the positive potential.

The archetype is the Artist and the traits are creative, fertile, nurturing, social, and optimistic. Three is dealing with security and insecurity. And, relaxation.

The yogic definition of relaxed is - awake, aware, alert, conscious, centred and prepared in the midst of anything and everything.

“Creative in every way”

Try this meditation for the 3rd Body

Each one of us is responsible for creating hope within ourselves and for other people. The way to do that is through relaxation.

It’s helpful to practice this meditation lying down with your eyes closed, like you would if you were at the end of a yoga class in savasana.

Begin by taking long, slow, deep conscious breaths through the nose. Slow your breathing even more.

Scan your body for places where you feel stress. Recognize and acknowledge these sensations.

Practice relaxing those body parts where you feel stress. Since the conscious mind has a certain authority over the body, mentally and slowly command on your exhales, “I am relaxing. I am relaxed. I. Am. Relaxed”

You can also spend 10-15 minutes in this position tuning into the heartbeat at your navel.

To end: Inhale, stretch and relax.
